A story from Reuters details more about the Crocs IPO.
$11 million in revenue in the first 3 months of 2005 and $6.8 of it gross profit. I think they have a winner as long as they are able to keep up with demand.
Apparently too much growth can be a bad thing. The explosive popularity of Crocs has caused some growing pains for retailers who are trying to meet consumer demand, but don’t have enough shoes to sell. A Denver Post article reports the small shops who got the Crocs shoes off the ground are not happy they have been left out now the shoes are in high demand.
This lack of product availability is opening the door for knockoffs like NothinZ shoes.
Hmmmmm. . . . Crocs better have registered a patent on their design because NothinZ looks a like an exact replica.
Any one have a pair or seen NothinZ?
The Denver Business Journal reports Crocs is planning an IPO soon. The report explains the offering will be used to pay off a $5 million dollar credit line and provide addtional cash for growth.
What are your thoughts? Are you going to buy CROX?
